Dr. Rebecca Kruse-Jarres has a long standing interest in inhibitor development and eradication in congenital and acquired hemophilia. Her research has included the investigation of scientific processes leading to inhibitor development and involved in immune regulation. She has participated in clinical research leading to the development of novel treatments for this patient population and continues to engage in international and national trials in this area.

Another area of interest and ongoing research is the assessment of subclinical joint bleeding in hemophilia and the use of ultrasound as a detection tool. This is done as part of a national collaborative.

Her research on sickle cell disease includes investigation into objective laboratory markers of acute sickle cell crisis and changes in coagulation parameters during pain episodes and non-pain baseline states.
