The Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies Clinic at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

A fully-staffed clinic meets Thursday afternoons and Fridays. Patients with non-maligant hematology issues can also be seen at other times. The SCCA provides facilities for patient evaluations, follow-up care, chemotherapy administration, and transfusion/infusion services.
Disorders managed through the Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies Clinic include: anemias, coagulation and bleeding disorders, ITP, TTP, hypercoagulable states and thrombotic disorders, iron deficiency and overload, leukemias, lymphomas, myelodysplasia, myeloma, amyloidosis, polycythemia vera, myelofibrosis, essential thrombocytosis, porphyria, sickle cell disease, thrombocytopenias and thalassemias.

Hematology outpatients are seen either in the General Clinic area on the first floor of the Seattle VA Medical Center or the Cancer Care Clinic on the 6th floor of Building 100. Clinic patients are seen either Monday afternoons, Tuesday afternoons, or Wednesday mornings. Non-malignant and malignant hematologic disorders are managed in these clinics with the support of an infusion/chemotherapy unit on the 6th floor of the hospital.

The Harborview Hematology/Oncology Clinic physicians care for patients with a wide variety of solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and bleeding problems. The clinic meets at Harborview Medical Center in 7 Maleng Building, from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. each Thursday afternoon.

Bloodworks NW-Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders

BloodWorks NW provides component blood products and clinical services to help meet the medical needs of patients in more than 70 Western Washington hospitals and clinics. A state-wide Hemophilia Care Program is sponsored by BloodWorks NW. It provides comprehensive care to patients with inherited bleeding disorders, including hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease.
