Biography

Dr. Linenberger is a Professor of Hematology and holds the Robert & Phyllis Henigson Endowed Chair at the University of Washington. He is the Medical Director of Apheresis and Cellular Therapy at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Professor in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He maintains a busy outpatient hematology practice at SCCA and he is the Program Director for the Hematology/Oncology fellowship at UW/Fred Hutch. Dr. Linenberger is also the Medical Director of the Cellular Processing Facility (a GMP production laboratory) of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, which provides critical support and technical expertise for the procurement, characterization and manufacturing of cell-based products for the treatment of patients with malignant and non-malignant diseases. These include investigational protocols and a research specimen repository. Dr. Linenberger is also deeply involved in teaching, training and career development through his faculty and Program Director roles.

Safe and effective management of patients and donors undergoing marrow harvest and peripheral blood stem cell mobilization and collection by apheresis

Clinical Interests:

Hematologic malignancies, benign hematologic disorders, bleeding and thrombotic disorders, therapeutic apheresis and stem cell procurement
