Dr. Fitzmaurice is a hematologist/oncologist who cares for patients with benign hematological disorders as well as malignant neoplasms (cancers). She sees patients at the Harborview Medical Center oncology clinic and is also a consultant for the hematology/oncology inpatient service at Harborview. Her education and training include an M.D. from the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 2008, a Master of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2009, residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin completed in 2012 and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Her research interest is in global oncology, healthcare disparities, and outcomes research.
